Best Seafood Restaurants in Ajman: Corniche Picks and Fish Market Finds

Best Seafood Restaurants in Ajman: Corniche Picks and Fish Market Finds

From Corniche grills to Fish Market gems, here are the best seafood restaurants in Ajman for date nights, family dinners and fresh local catch. Verified addresses, phones and hours, last checked May 2026.

Ajman might be the UAE’s smallest emirate, but its seafood game punches way above its weight. The catch lands at the Corniche before the sun is fully up, hits the grill a few hours later, and somehow still costs a third of what Dubai charges for the same fish. If you have only ever eaten seafood at a hotel buffet in JBR, you have not really eaten seafood in this country yet.

This is our running shortlist of the best seafood restaurants in Ajman, built around the Ajman Corniche dining strip and the Fish Market that feeds it. Last verified 27 May 2026.

How we picked

  • Freshness over fancy. If the kitchen does not buy from the Ajman Fish Market or a comparable supplier it does not make the cut.
  • Value that holds up. We tested across price bands so a casual lunch and a date night are both covered.
  • View and vibe because Corniche sunsets earn their keep.
  • Family fit. Several picks have play areas, big majlis-style booths and patient staff.
  • Real local sentiment. We cross-checked Zomato, Google reviews and Tripadvisor rather than relying on press blurbs.

Ajman Fish Market: the source

Almost every kitchen on this list either sources from Ajman Fish Market or quietly admires the people who do. The market sits along Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street next to the Central Bus Station on the Corniche side. Boats unload before dawn. By 7am the stalls are stacked with hammour, kingfish, sultan ibrahim, jumbo prawns, blue crabs and squid. The lively daily auction kicks off at 6pm. Opening hours are 7am to 1.30pm and 5pm to 10pm.

You can buy your own catch, pay the cleaning station a small fee for descaling and filleting, then take it home or hand it to one of the restaurants above that will cook it for you. It is the most local thing you can do for dinner in Ajman.

WOW-Ajman Expert Tip: During Ramadan, several Corniche seafood spots run iftar seafood spreads that are genuinely good value. Book at least two days ahead. For Eid, the larger hotel buffets like Seascape and Vista add seafood live stations and they fill up fast.

FAQ

Which Ajman seafood restaurant is best for families with kids?

Al Sheraa Fisheries Centre has a dedicated kids’ play area, big halls for groups and a casual choose-and-cook format that even fussy eaters get excited about. Themar Al Bahar and Al Hamria are also comfortable family picks.

Do Ajman seafood restaurants have vegetarian options?

Most do. Expect mezze, fattoush, hummus, mixed grilled vegetables, biryani and pasta. The hotel restaurants like Vista and Seascape have full vegetarian buffet sections.

Where can I park along the Corniche for dinner?

Free on-street parking is available along most of the Corniche after 7pm. Daytime weekends fill up fast, so hotel-based restaurants with valet parking like Seascape, Vista and Zanzi Bar are easier.

Are the AED price bands current?

We verified prices as of 27 May 2026. Standalone restaurants sit in the $ to $$ range. Hotel restaurants sit in $$$. Seasonal events and weekend surcharges can nudge buffets up 10 to 15 percent.

What time of day has the freshest catch?

Lunch service is built on the morning landing. If you really want the best of the daily catch, eat between 12pm and 2pm. Or visit the Fish Market itself between 7am and 8am and watch the stalls fill up in real time.
