The mangrove-lined lagoon at the southern edge of Al Zorah, the rare UAE nature reserve where flamingos arrive on schedule and kayaks slip through tunnels of mangrove on a tide that genuinely rises and falls. Entry is free; tours and kayak hire are paid through Al Zorah Tourism’s third-party operators. Mornings reward the photographers, late afternoons the families. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet and bring more water than you think you need.
